Why Ballet?
We believe that exploring movements of the ballet will provide a participant with exercise inspired solutions that may educate and help them understand the strengths — and weaknesses of their body. A great ballet practice starts building strength from the ground up, and prioritizes training the basics with variables such as cadence, coordination, balance, and time under tension — similar to our training techniques with the kettlebell.
Within a ballet practice, the classic exercises at the barre, and the exploration of space in centre are repetitious, but may they never become tedious. The rewards of the practice include the ability to progress your skills of strength and balance, while fully receiving the therapeutic benefits of movement for the mind and body.
While other forms of movement training such as yoga and dance, provide experiences for participants that are rich in spirituality, meditation, and expression — in our experience, training with our ballet teachers continue to be exciting bodyweight practice sessions that always provide us with an abundance of information about our bodies. How do the muscles and joints of the body operate for strength, compensation? And, how can we align ourselves to improve posture, performance and comfort.
Ballet can be an intense and emotional exercise experience, Failure, success and persistence participant with relieves and passé holds , which then assemblé to attack your body and your brain with strength, mobility and balance challenges.
Ballet and simplified barre exercises are simply the B.E.S.T solutions for adapting your body to start enjoying the benefits of movement.
We hope that you can join us live on YouTube — every Thursday at 4:00 p.m. EST for a 30 minute practice. Celebrate your full body strength the the kettlebell press, and learn to move with the purpose and perfection of the ballet.
