Fitness Feels
Early in the pandemic we prepared for changes in the studio as we made a transition to building a business online. My CEO (Lauryn) requested SEO (Search Engine Optimization). As a result, I started to write about everything health and fitness. I went from Aerobics to Zumba and couldn’t find the words that best described what we do with our students in the studio or online.
I scrolled back through my Notes app and upon further inspection, I confess that since March of 2020 there has been a continuous eruption of descriptions, blogs, links, and lists. Some of the notes make me laugh and others make me confused as to what I was thinking at the time. However, the ones that remain encourage us to stay the course. Together we will weather the November rain and continue to train in person or online in new and creative ways.
An unfinished note from months ago starts ...
“Week by week, Lauryn makes and then checks off her ‘must-do list’. Some days there are things to do, but more often there are things that must be done. She reigns over our business partnership with organizational supremacy. I continue to invest in our ventures with my sweat equity and endless contributions to the ‘ideas category’.”
We work together, building a safe environment with fun movements and strength skills. However, other than naming our classes: little LIFTers , Strength and Swing, Chocolate Barre, Scotch + Stretch—I could go on—what’s in a name? We believe it’s in the feeling.
We want you to feel strong and free to enjoy movement and play.
We want you to feel empowered as you improve and learn new skills that allow you to celebrate in your favourite pastimes.
We want our movements to be simple, strong and adaptable for any at-home, work, or gym practice.
We want you to feel that what you do with barres, bells, and bodyweight makes a difference in your life outside of the gym.
We feel connected to you through movement.
Ya feel us?
